The first fire truck of Platte SD is sitting in a building on main street. My grandfather, Jobe Barada was a mechanic who worked on the truck. I think there is a picture next to the truck showing him in bib overalls. Does anyone know the make, model and year of that fire truck?
If it's the one I have info on it's a 1948 Ford chassis apparatus was built by the Darley Co. in Melrose Park Ill. it was shipped on 11-30-48 and had a 300gpm front mount pump and a 500gpm midship mounted pump
Do you have a picture of the truck. A picture would be a great help in identifying the truck.
