I was wondering if there are any Barack Obama supporters in South Dakota. I am one for sure, but know a lot of people who are not sure at this point.

I know that the June primary will come and if the race comes to South Dakota, I will be sure vote at the polls or vote absentee. South Dakota may have a say, but with the way Obama is surging (it may or may not have an effect). I am sure that Hillary will fight to the very end. Hopefully, the Democrat race will get more young people to vote and into the party.

Well, I've been a lifelong registered Republican so I won't vote between Hillary and Obama in the primary. I really like McCain and am just in awe of him after he turned the enemy's offer to release him just cause his Dad was a big dog. He waited his turn for release and suffered terribly and could've gotten out of it. He's a tough bird and definitely deserves respect.

Having said that, I never vote straight ticket. I really like Obama and I like his push for national healthcare. There are just SO many things that I like about him and each time I see him in a debate or see him being interviewed, I like him even more. SO, if he should be the Democratic candidate, I will have a problem. I'm sure that if it ends up being McCain vs. Obama, they will have debates and things will be clearer. If the election between the two was today, I would be leaning toward Obama.

Obama (the most liberal senator in washington) and Hillary are both socialists. The Democratic party is nothing like times of old. I consider myself to be a conservative, but unfortunately the Republican party has become the old Democratic party. The old Democratic party still had some conservative values (JFK). But the present day Democratic party is so far out in left field, I'm in fear of my country if one of them gets elected. Obama is more a made up candidate because of the media. On only a few things he had been involved with, nobody really knows him. I fear him the most, Hillary second and McCain third. Im also not a McCain fan either. They are all so full of BS!!!
BS = BBQ Sauce. Their is no substance. Yes, McCain is a war hero, and I commend him for that! Who woudn't? But, a president? Horror!! Personally, I'm resolved to do only one thing and pray for the USA. That God is still in charge.
Couldn't help but give my 2-cents here...

I think both of you should read up a little more on Obama. He's not what he seems.

His latest is a Tax to better fund the UN. It goes before the senate next week. I'll be interested to see what it does. Because the US currently posts the most money for the UN now. We'll get a chance to give even more to a failed organization if it passes.

Jammie, you said you liked him in the debates? I heard two things in every debate, and I watched all of them. First, I heard him say, when asked a question "Well, Hillary didn't......." He didn't answer. Secondly, I heard him say, "I'm going to fix the medical issue." I have yet to hear, or see in print, how he intends to do that. It scares me when they don't explain. Sure, he can fix the medical problem, right after you start paying another 25% of your earnings on taxes.

Chris19, I'm a definite Obama supporter. I can't stand Hilliary Clinton, or Bill Clinton for that matter.

Huh? The UN? the place so full of hateing the usa? You have to be kidding? I would like the USA to opt out of the UN. I know its not polite to attack anyone here, but I wish I had my etch-a-sketch..

I'd have to agree with ElkHunter on Obama. He seems to evade a question (like most politicians) and he does not give a straightforward answer. Hillary is just cracked-out and I can't see another CLinton getting into office. I am registered Republican, but I do not care too much for McCain either. He is most likely who I will vote for but he does not have any depth either. He was even quoted saying, "I wouldn't mind if we were in Iraq for another 100 years." Well, I would mind. We need to get our troops out of there, but we need to do it with order and with a plan. I'm sure this can be done in less than 100 years!

I am glad that this election has caught so many young voters' interest, but I fear that they will all vote like they voted for Prom Queen... based on popularity.

This will be the first time I get to vote for president, and I am still not sure on who I want to vote for. Give me more time.

I agree. But I'd like to reword it a slight bit. We need to "Finish" the war and then come home. My fear is that Obama would end it and not finish it.
