The fireflies displaying their lights last night after the thunder storm were AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! The fields around my house were just magical to watch.

There are thunderstorms moving into the Black Hills from the northwest, west, and southwest. I have not seen any warnings but the dopplar radar is lit up like a Christmas tree.

The drought in North and South Dakota is really worrying me, and it doesn't seem to be talked about at the national level.
Here's a map from the US Drought Monitor website. United States Drought Monitor > Home > State Drought Monitor

I hope the ranchers and other humans and animals living in the Extreme drought area make it through the summer.

Droughts are a part of life around here. It runs in cycles. The wheat harvest is a done deal around here. Lots of hay moving. Lots of wheat bales for hay. The issue with wheat as a forage is a concern for nitrates. Which is harmful for livestock.
For the most part those tests have been showing the feed is safe for cattle. Lots of cattle moved to market the end of May through the middle of June.

Looks like you're about to get a bunch more snow, UH!
Then it's coming my way.
I'm seriously done with this winter - it's been a tough one.
