Here are some pics I took from Skyline Drive in Rapid City on October 1st. I'll be adding more soon. I plan on going to Spearfish on Sunday so I'll try to get to Spearfish Canyon!
Spearfish canyon should be nice this weekend. I know last weekend was supposed to be the peak for changing colors - but several people from work went out, and said that it was just starting, hadn't really gotten cold enough yet. I was going to try and go out myself, I've never been yet. Maybe, I'll bring back some pics too, we can compare!
Here are some pictures from this weekend, we went through Spearfish Canyon on Saturday, the Rapid paper said that was the best day....The first couple are from Custer State Park but still the Black Hills.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to Spearfish Canyon this weekend because I was called in to work. Grr!
Maybe next weekend, but I'm kind of worried because there's already SNOW in the forecast for the higher elevations and Northern Hills.
