I am actually going to cook once again tonight. I've already made bread, then I'll make pasta and sauce. Thinking about acquiring a bottle of grape too. Neighbour was kind enough to bring me cucumbers and other assorted garden greens...cucumber/a little onion/rosemary/vinegar...a bit of a salad.
Pat - I so miss halibut. I've yet to find any around here. I told the husband when he arrives home, we need to visit Alaska and fish for halibut!

Roast beef is actually a specialty, but I haven't fixed it since the husband deployed - just too much food for someone who doesn't eat.

I utilize corn starch as a base for my roast beef gravy. What do you use? I also slow cook my roast in wine. Some sort of blackberry merlot is best, I think. The gravy is VERY rich, but nummmm-yummies!

I get to start with premium home raised (looked the critter in the eyes, and named him T-bone) beef. My biggest problem was not using my stoneware.....

Yesterday lunch was a buffalo bacon cheese burger with homemade fries at Jakes yesterday. Thursday night it was Guadalajara with my sister, brother in law and dogwalker.

Eating at home tonight, having me some Olathe sweet corn this evening along with potato salad, mixed veggies, and a salad. Dessert later, will be peach pie and vanilla ice cream. Top it off with a toddie or two as I'm watching some NFL football this evening.
