Been astradle of a 9N all day, haying. In the following order:
Ice Cold Bud Light
Corn on the cob (good sweet corn from the Amish
Another Ice Cold Bud Light
Elk Back Strap, cooked on the Weber drum bbq over charcoal and apple chips.
Home made potato salad and yes, I chop up some jalapena's and put in my potato salad. Also, I bake the potatoes, I don't boil them. What a waste to boil all the good out of em. Also, I don't peel em, just slap some crisco on em, wrap them in tinfoil and bake em. Then just cut them up.
Oh, and an Ice Cold Bud Light.
Edit: Forgot, I have a seedless watermelon I got from the Amish, currently sitting on ice. It's for dessert.
First field is down and will be stacking it tomorrow right after I flip the windrows one more time.
The hay crop looks pretty good over here.
We had Bison meatballs stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese and cooked in a wine marinara sauce. That was dumped over some penne pasta. Desert was rasberrys and cream.
Just a reminder. Plug your melons early, they need time to saturate.
