This morning, I fixed a two egg omelet. Mexican cheese, chopped bacon, and salsa in the middle. Piece of toast with butter and jelly. Couple cups of coffee. Now I'm ready for a nap.

Can I come over for brunch? Just leave the bacon off mine and I'll be there. I am SO hungry this morning and I'm counting the minutes until it's brunch time.
Doesn't it seem like the cooler weather makes you hungry?
That sounds so good, but I just can't do it right now! Anyone have any ideas for something good, but bland? I have been fighting H1N1 since Friday, and I just don't wanna eat! I am thinking ham and beans sounds pretty good...been eating plain rice for two days. Before that, soup. Don't want any more soup for a while!

I am so sorry to hear that you are ill. I really feel your pain (similar time frame, different illness). All I ate was crackers and 7-Up (could really drop kick that cracker box right about now ).
Other ideas are possibly jello, applesauce, mashed potatoes, maybe even a lightly scrambled egg. I am sure there will be more ideas coming your way as well. Whatever you do, keep as hydrated as you can. I really wish you well and hope you feel better soon.

I have yet to get my flu shot as I've had stomach trouble but I think I'll be getting my flu shot soon.
As to what to eat: the above suggestions are good ones. I don't think it'd be best to jump into a high fiber (beans) diet right now. Stick something bland and soothing. Make Graveyard Stew. My mother made this for me when I was sick. Heat up some milk with a bit of butter. Pour over torn pieces of white toast. Sprinkle some sugar on top. Enjoy!
Try drinking liquid jello or solid jello. I like the liquid jello the best as it tastes so much better.
Eat some lowfat foods. When I had my gallbladder out, and was recovering from pancreatitis, I loved to eat Cream of Wheat or tapioca. I slowly worked my way into solid foods.
And of course this is not medical advice. Please contact your medical provider, if you have questions.
Dinner: Wally World pizza and salad. Tonight is Ghost Hunters followed by Destination Truth so this my night off from cooking. I did make some Candy Dandies cookies for dessert too.

A can of "Ranchstyled beans" and some bread-n-butter.
