This first video was taken from the front of a Streetcar in San Francisco days before the 1906 earthquake. What I kept thinking as I watched it was "Lanes? We don't need no stinking lanes!" People are all over the place. SFO was like a 3rd world country back then! Look at all the horses! Bet there were lots of pooper scooper jobs! LOL
Originally thought to be filmed in 1905, a historian recently took the film to a higher resolution to look at nearby newspaper dates and license plates. Now we know it was right before the quake.
We want pics! I love percherons! Oh you are so lucky!!
The percherons responded well. Last night we kind of over did it. We went from Ranchester to Acme, to Ranchester to Dayton, to Parkman, to Ranchester.......... It was at least a 25 mile trip. But the Percheron's responded well. They love to trot. And they did well. They pulled the wagon with 12lv people in it.
Got home after 11pm. Had to run with the flashers on. hahaha
7 years ago, today, we welcomed our first grandson into the world!
