On return from our week in the Black Hills last week, we took a meandering route through the Southern Counties and found ourselves along Higway 18 in the town of Winner. Looked and looked for a gold-plated, stretched out dually with the spinning rims in the area but didn't see a single one. Looked like the Ford dealership still had trucks in their lot too. No mansions, helicopters, Lear jets, bling or any other signs of wanton extravegance at all. That town seems remarkably normal and well-grounded. Nope, no lotto winner in that town.
I think the winner lives about 50 miles or so to the west. Well he lives far off the highway. I believe the gravel road ends about 5 miles from his place... Sounds like he already hit the jackpot even before winning the lottery.

I don't think you will in the future either! I'm confident that our new millionaire will be careful with his fortune.
I hope he doesn't follow the lead of his neighbor powerball winner from Dallas, SD who decided to splurge her winnings on a NEW doublewide trailer house. As if the rest of the uninformed United States needs to have another stereotype of the people from "the Dakotas".
Buy something nice, please. It doesn't have to be all that extravagent. A new house, $ 200,000+ combine, decked out F150 pickup, but PLEASE, not a new right off the lot trailer house.

Nothing wrong with buying a mobile home. I have lived in one for 13 years & it beats a apartment or condo anyday.
Do you know what a South Dakota divorce and a tornado have in common?
Someone is going to lose a mobile home.
