Hi! I'm getting ready to head off to college, and I'm looking at different places to live post-college. (Already dedicated to college in Wyoming.) I'd like to raise rabbits, cattle or sheep, and bring my horses. I'm going to school to be an Ag teacher/FFA advisor. I want a warm place without a lot of snow, but not too hot to the point of uncomfortable. I can handle tornadoes, I'm from Michigan. Would SD be a fitting place to consider? Thanks for the help! (I'm also looking at other states, if you see this thread in another forum that's why.)

Right now its colder than a hookers heart. Teachers pay is not that great. We can get fair amount of snow. It depends on the year though.

If I was going to relocate I think I would head west, Wyoming, maybe Idaho or parts of Colorado. As much as I like South Dakota, I don't know if that would be what you are wanting.

Well, we did live in Casper, Wyoming for two years and I really did like the agriculture and scenery, but honestly, the people were so rude and unhelpful I wouldn't ever live there again, and I time and again got ripped off trying to get livestock. I wouldn't want to go back permanently.

Can't really judge Wyoming by Casper. South Dakota wouldn't be bad. But it gets cold in the winter. And we get snow...
