Does anyone have a listing of what stores are in Rushmore Crossing? Is it completed yet? I found a website that listed several stores, but the picture shows more stores that were not listed or built yet.

I see Rushmore Mall has a website, so that is why I am confused. It seems like Rushmore Crossing is much bigger than Rushmore Mall. I see that Rushmore Mall has the Buckle, American Eagle, and Pacific Sunwear . Does anyone know if there will be stores like Macy's, Banana Republic, Anne Taylor, Nordstroms, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Pier 1 Imports, Cost Plus World Market, etc.?

What is the closest Metropolitan area to Rapid City? What stores am I missing? Is there a website?

Super Target
Sam's Club
TJ Max
Optical Shop
Bed Bath & Beyond
Scheels
Gordmans
Shoe Carnival
Furniture Row
Justice
Davids Bridal
Dress Barn
PETCO
Dollar Tree
Mens Warehouse
Game Stop

Rushmore Crossing is a strip mall shopping center, or actually a cluster of them - it is not a mall. So far, the stores that are there are pretty much what is on your list, but Sam's Club is still located near Wal-Mart and not at the Crossing. There is some continuing development, but the Mall and the Crossing are two different types of shopping. There is a Pier 1 in Rapid already, not far from the mall. The other stores you listed like Pottery Barn and Norstroms do not have a presence in Rapid, and I doubt they will. There simply is not the population base to support them.

The nearest large metro shopping area that would host the stores you are looking for is Denver, about 8 hours from here. Makes for a good weekend trip!

Denver is more like 6 hours from Rapid so not bad

I'm hoping we get some of those stores you listed - we lived in Denver and miss them! It is far from completed - phase 1 is almost done. I'd love to see A Macys or Dillards - Bed Bath and Beyond is also on my wish list!

I much perfer the Rushmore Crossing development - I like the outdoor mall shopping set up rather than the indoor myself, but I am use to that set up from Denver as well

Yup Denver is the nearest major metro area. We drive to Rapid for things like Target which we don't have in my town. But if I want Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc then we drive to Denver. I believe Rapid City population is 68,000 and with the surrounding areas to be under 100K so I don't believe those stores could survive.

You get used to doing lots of online shopping when you move here.

Gamestop is still in the Rushmore mall, and the Target is not a Supertarget.... its just a plane ol' regular Target. and as said, sams club is not out there yet... they plan on moving to the west most anchor spot eventually, but for now there still in there old home not far from there, across for the Walmart super-center.

Thank you so much for all your replies. Sounds like a really nice development. I have always preferred outside malls!

Pier One is still open as far as I know. It's over by Applebees.

Actually the Rushmore crossing is really handy for me. When I am coming into town, I can stop off at Target, when to Petco for the first time last Monday, I was impressed. And my parrot was happy I stopped too.
