This image shows two 'holes' deep enough for the overhead satellite and the overhead sunlight not to be able to penetrate the depths. However, at the 11 o'clock position on both these 'holes' there is a kind of haze which to me, suggests some kind of emission of smoke or heat haze or some other gas/vapour like cloud. Both areas are being 'blown' in the same direction which makes me wonder if it is a cloud of some kind? Am I imagining this or can others see it too?
It would be interesting to get some kind of analysis from NASA of this feature and whether it is hot or not and what kind of chemical substance is being emitted from these holes. It might be the source of the methane discovered on Mars perhaps or it could be heat from a subsurface lava flow, or something from some other source.
