Now it's just a matter of developing feasible technologies that can manipulate the fabric thereof , but given humanity's track record , we'll likely find a way to use it as a weapon first.

I agree.....our species is so driven by hate and destruction. It seems too many scientific breakthroughs are an indirect consequence of weapon's research. I appreciate the Science but we all can do without the malevolence.
