Hi all my family and I are anticipating a move to Union County or Cabarrus County. I have researched as much as possible about which County would best suit my son's needs. He is sixteen years old and has autism as well as cerebral palsy. He currently has an IEP . I'm extremly blessed because he doesn't need assistance in terms of walking or talking but developmental delays would interfere with him ever attending a regular classroom. Mainstream programs would not benefit him at all. His needs are paramount! My husband and I are going to visit both areas in Feb and would like to stop by a few schools to at least see if any at all would be a good fit. I really would appreciate you're input!
