They make Spokane sound like Youngstown Ohio or something.

Indeed -- nothing depressing about Spokane. The Zags are a one seed, and.....uh.....Canada Island is now Izx&R?k@@....another casino in Airway heights.....the City Council demands not to be part of any fictional list of refugees....the streets are as smooth as an Everything bagel....pit bulls stalk the city dragging tatooed opioidal androgynes.....Good thing the weather has been so nice the last four months. The snow, ice, sleet, and freezing drizzle keep everyone's spirits up. With no end in sight.

Darn old Grauniad.

I hear you. Spokane is Seattle with ice. And less of a restaurant scene. And about one-twentieth the traffic.

Yes - the lack of traffic in Spokane as compared to Seattle is huge.

If negotiations go well Spokane will be my big city. Colville my home. Let's hope everything goes without a snag. I'd be proud to call Spokane my "big city" home, dudes.
