On the other hand, Pat Matheny played a live show at the Fox last night. And there are rumors of a future appearance by Calexico.

In spite of the meteorological mayhem, Spokane is being dragged, kicking and screaming, into some kind of musical relevance. No longer will the entertainment choices be limited to doo-wop nostalgia bands at Northern Lights Casino, and Randy Shaw's C&W group at the Fair...

All I can say is today I went kayaking on the Little Spokane River in shorts and a t-shirt, the sun was shining, I saw herons, ducks & eagles and got a little bit sunburned. Not gonna complain about life in the Spokane area at all.
