Do you have ice all over the place and weeks of gloomy weather in the Denver winter ? How often is the windchill so nasty ? Even when it's 20 degrees in Denver, the sun is out a lot, and it feels warm in the sun if you are properly attired for winter. The number of days that are brutally cold are few and far between.

Then you consider that there is so much to do and to see in Denver, so much opportunity, and a major transportation hub, with non-stop air service to a vast number of destinations.

Denver is a great city. I would trade if I could, and I'd feel bad, so I'd give you a hundred bucks too to even it out a little bit.

Perhaps I exaggerated when I said Spokane is horrible. I admit, it is not horrible. It's an OK place. But the weather really is horrible. And it has way less to do than Denver or other major cities. It is a smaller city, and as such, it has less to offer than a major city. I have not lived in a major city since I lived in Denver years ago.

For me, it's quite simple really.

I don't want 65F days in January, I had plenty of that, and up to 90F in January growing up in Southern CA, so I'll pass. I love winter, and personally, can't get enough of it. Don't care for sun either. I thought Spokane's summers were glorious, and I hate summer.

Granted, there is plenty to do here, and I like that, but there's also traffic, and a faster pace. Less of an opportunity to chill out around here. Plenty of opportunities, but also a higher cost-of-living.

Once I'm in Spokane, I have no need for anywhere else. And if I do, Spokane's airport is a breeze.

My time in Spokane was brief, and I'll take your hundred bucks, if it helps me finish scratching that itch that I never got to finish scratching.

The weather in Spokane is definitely not horrible, you just don't like winter weather. You also like the big cities with everything they provide but that doesn't mean Spokane is horrible it just isn't the lifestyle you enjoy.

Maybe you should ask an elderly WW2 vet how good/bad Spokebabwe is:

Police in Washington state are searching for two young suspects who beat a World War II veteran to death in a parking lot Wednesday night.

YUPPP, in my opinion the weather in Spokane is one of the best things about this city.

It's a mid size city, unfortunately dirt bags do bad things. It's not indicative of the city as a whole. The 20k town I am from in IL just had a similar episode, unfortunately the scum of society is largely dispersed...

some may think this is an extreme post....sounds extreme, but unfortunately it's a true reflection of Spokane. the local police are out of control.... sorta hard to believe Spokane citizens have accepted this fact!!
