Hi . I have 4 kids and the family is possibly looking at moving to Colbert from the SF Bay Area. I just have a few questions. Do people up here hate Californians ? I've read a lot of positive things about this area and I am really eager to leave CA, is there a lot for kids to do ? I've been googling A LOT about it but I would love to hear form some locals. Are there IT jobs ? I work in a hospital so I can go pretty much anywhere but my husband needs to be where he can work in IT. Do kids play out side ? I'm sorry if this has been asked a lot, I've searched through the threads but I don't see much CURRENT and I am really excited to see this area !

California might as well be Mars. Hate is generally directed at people from Seattle.
Kids would be fine there. Mine played outside.
There are *some* IT jobs.
I love the Spokane area as a whole and get back as often as I can (I lived there for 1/2 of 2009). I'll be back there again in November as a birthday present to myself.

Colbert is a nice area for families. I have a few friends there who live in nice neighborhoods with horse privileges. Not big farms but maybe a few acres with small barns and paddocks for a couple of horses. I can’t think of anything ore fun for kids..but I’m a horse person. Great schools there too and zero reasons that kids couldn’t play outside to their hearts content.
