Despite me being a Tri-Citian I'm really excited about Spokane finally getting their own Texas Roadhouse because it is a great restaurant and we need more in the PNW.

No.
Not at all interested. Too many good non-chain restaurants here to bother with Texas Roadhouse.
On the other hand, I AM excited about the new LUSH store opening downtown.
Now I won’t have to bring their stuff back for my daughter whenever I travel.

Also, there has been one in Coeur D’Alene for years so if someone really needed to eat there, it wouldn’t be too much of a hike.

I'm looking forward to it just because there are few decent steakhouses in Spokane that are reasonably priced. Churchhill's and Clinkerdagger are great, but not affordable for a family. Other chains such as Outback are fine, but it's always better to have more options.

I don't really understand why it's so trendy to hate all chain restaurants. Chains became chains by having a good business model. Non-chain doesn't automatically = good food.

The one in Coeur d'Alene is ALWAYS packed on weekends. Frequently 45+ minute waits. At least this will open up more tables.

If it keeps some Spokanites from coming over to CDA I am all for it.

You don’t come to Spokane for anything?

I don’t automatically hate all chain restaurants. They serve their purpose.
I don’t hate Texas Roadhouse. I just wouldn’t get excited about it. And I certainly wouldn’t be excited about one opening two hours away from where I lived.

ETA: I was actually pleased when PF Chang’s opened in Spokane. That’s one chain I do like.

Different strokes, I guess. I tried PF Changs once - I have no interest in ever going back.

Texas Roadhouse is certainly not high on my list of Things-To-Be-Super-Excited-About, but I'm always happy to eat at a half-decent, reasonably-priced steakhouse.

LOL! I've heard about being sick of Californians coming to Washington, and Seattlites coming to Spokane, but this is the first time I've heard of residents of Coeur d'Alene being sick of people from Spokane...
