Once again, the relocation conversation has started. (I believe I have posted about Spokane before?)

Former PNW'er, have been in Spokane (a long time ago), know the Canadian side a little better (grew up in Vancouver, traveled, hiked and camped all over. We also had a couple of years in Seattle before we moved international.) We need a modest home for retirement, would prefer a walking neighborhood for some amenities/groceries and have zero interest in maintaining a large house anymore..

(Not afraid of winter--dealing with it already ~30+ miles out of NYC with country roads and crazy drivers.)

Which leads me to the neighborhood streets of small Craftsman style houses in Garland--with the small shopping district and movie theater within walking distance.

I'd be interested in hearing from people who know the area.

Thanks,
Dean
