I have read various posts here and elsewhere about peoples' opinions on the commute from CdA/ Post Falls to Spokane. They seem to range from highly unfavorable to moderately unfavorable, with a few saying it's reasonable. I would like to know, does anybody live in CdA or Post Falls and commute to work downtown using the Spokane Park and Ride transit system (looks like there's a lot in Liberty Lake)? If so, do you have any opinions on your daily commute? Is this generally more favorable than driving, or less? Also, do you find the transit system safe, clean, etc or do you frequently have to deal with harassment? Thank you very much for your insights!

One of my tenants lives in Post Falls (west end of town) and works in Spokane, but he is driving his own car. He's happy with the location and is going on his third year in that house.

If you are somewhat near the freeway in Post Falls, the commute is fine. Traffic can be a bit heavy during commute hours, but it keeps moving.

CDA would be a further drive, same freeway, same traffic, but more commute hours. If you get too far north in CDA, it can take a long time to get to the freeway; not distance, but traffic and stop lights.

I don't know anything about the Spokane Park and Ride system.

It looks to me like rents are higher in Idaho than they are in Spokane, but the rental neighborhoods in Idaho are nicer.

Thank you very much for the breakdown. It seems like staying near the freeway is key then...
