Inslee doing vaxx passports or fake news?

Wondering how well that would go over in Eastern Wa.....

I'm sure in Seattle you could do whatever you want... but in E Wa I have doubts

.

I agree. I am vaccinated, but very anti-mandate.

We have already passed-over a few restaurants in Spokane because they are requiring proof of vaccination.

Considering that more than half of the restaurants in Colville were "secretly" open last January, when they were supposed to have been closed, I don't see any of them asking people for their papers anytime soon.

Having restaurants secretly open last January defying the mandates gives me assurance that the people haven’t completely lost their minds.
Good on them .

I've made several trips through Eastern Washington this summer and fall and the only place I saw a face mask was at the gas station in Sprague, population 446. The locals were not wearing masks until they got to the door and then they would put on their mask and take it off as soon as they came back outside. Nowhere else in Wshington was a mask visible.

There have been activities at Gonzaga involving large crowds that have been making the news and not a mask in sight.

I'm suspecting that compliance in Eastern Washington is a bit low.

I am vaxxed but I don't want to be around others who are not. While I think they have the right to not get vaxxed, I think they are being selfish and foolish. Especially if they are trying to make a political point. The vaxx is not political, it is a safety measure. I absolutely disagree with those who refuse on a political level. They are part of the problem.

You don’t want to be around others that aren’t vaccinated? Does your Fauci ouchie not work then? If it does work, then why your fear?

Vaccinations are not 100 percent effective. But they do prevent the spread overall. Your question is not logical.

It reduces the spread within the first 90 days or so after vaccination and again not for everyone. So most people were vaccinated 6+ months ago and can easily catch covid, so the vaccine mainly provides personal protection 90 days following vaccination and I don't think many people are willing to get boosters every 6 months. The UK has 93% of their people with antibodies and yet no herd immunity - covid is still everywhere there. The good thing is both natural immunity and vaccination still provide good personal protection 20+ weeks later, but this is not a reason to mandate the vaccine to everyone.
