Which buffet restaurant is better between Golden Corral or Old Country Buffet?

I've gone to the Old Country Buffet on Division once in 2005 and I was not too impressed with their food, we arrived there at around 6pm on a weeknight, a year later I went to the Old Country Buffet on Sprague and I thought the one on Sprague was alot better than the one on Division, we arrived there around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, I haven't tried Golden Corral and I'm wondering how good their food is.

I was at the Golden Corral near Division last week and their food is just awsome...from beef to chicken to salmon...and many many pasta's and salad's along with breads.....and the employees' are just great.... Old Country Buffet is fine also , but my money is on the golden Corral...The restaurant rocks....

I know it's my bizarre sense of humor, but I can practically hear RetiredChef gagging! I'm pretty sure I didn't see GC or OCB on his lists of places to eat in Spokane. lol.
Personally, I like both restaurants, but probably prefer Golden Corral. Buffets can't be beat when you've got kids(or husbands) who need to eat NOW. :~) D

I have a question about the Golden Corral Buffet Restaurant, do you have to pay extra for refills or do the refills come free with your meal?

Golden Corral all the way, service is better. Plus I know people that work at OCB...they tell me things..

Yes refills are free at Golden Corral

If you knew people at Golden Corral they'd probably tell you things, too!

(Personally, I like Golden Corral better, too--a little. I'm just not a fan of buffets.)

I knew an old Spokane preacher who said one time that it took more faith to eat in a restaurant than it did to believe in God...

Ditto on MoPac1980's comment on Old Country Buffet. Yuk, I got sick after eating there. Too sterile or something, I don't like it. I like the steak at Golden Corral although it is always busy.

I've been to an OCB in another state and to GC once here. I must say, I can never justify going to either place when I can spend that same amount and get Thai food, a burger at Rusty Roofs or Five Guys, or some place like that.

Just my $.02

ok i've got to put my $0.02 in on this one. old country b is more expensive then golden corral but also has much more food to offer. i often go to both of them on division and have found them both very good. but they aren't in the same ball park because ocb is bigger and more expensive. but i recommend both. golden corral is lots more crowded then ocb so if you want more variety of food and a place that's not packed with the bused in seniors from the local retirement homes then go to the old country buffet.
