Hi, I want to move to Spokane to go to the Zoo school over there. I'll be moving on my own and was wondering how is the renting price over there and if it's hard to find a job, I was thinking about med aide job, since I got my certification recently. I was also wondering about the Hispanic/Latin population, since I'm Mexican. Any info that you could give me about the city would be appreciated, thank you for reading.

Renting is fairly cheap. Getting a job is fairly hard.

You don't need to be white to live, get along, make friends, or do well in Spokane. The "Hispanic/Latin" population is very small, but it's there.

Are you Mexican, like from Mexico? At any rate, you shouldn't have any problems there. Just live your life.

Thanks for the info, and yes I am from Mexico. Moved to the US when I was 16. I lived in CA for a year then we moved to Nebraska and have been here ever since.

You'll probably find the social climate to be better in Spokane than it is in NE (from a racial/ethnic standpoint).

I'm assuming you are going to go to the school at Cat Tales. My best advice for you would be to do your time there and leave. You're not going to find Spokane to be racist, but you will be disappointed in the job market here. Being in healthcare you will find a job, but as an aide you probably won't make more than $10/hr here and maybe top out around $15. Cost of living here is cheap........if you enjoy apartment dwelling. At $10/hr that doesn't afford much of an apartment so you will be enjoying the "wildlife' when you are at home and work.

For me I'm making the decision that all under 30 and educated seem to do here and that is leave.
