Still looking for a place for my husband to live while we're waiting for our house to sell. Hard to find somewhere under $300 where they'd be alright with someone that doesn't know how long they'll be there. Thought I'd try you guys.
Quiet, mid-aged Christian man looking for a quiet spot to sleep during the day. Food and laundry negotiable. Comes with good references from employer and church leaders. Ideal situation would be empty nesters who have the room, but don't need a whole lot of money for it. Anyone know anyone? :~) D

PS: Loves dogs. Non smoker/drinker. You'd hardly know he's there.

It may be a stretch, but try contacting the St. Joseph Family Center. If they don't have a program, they may very well know someone who can help! Good luck! http://www.stjosephfamilycenter.org/

OK.

I had something that might have worked but it won't be available for another couple of months.

Does the Y still rent rooms?

May try looking on Craigslist for people who are looking for roommates etc. In these times sometime someone may be open to a roomate in their home on a short term basis.

I've been looking on Craigslist. We have found a few things that might do, but my husband has decided that he'd rather live a couple of weeks with my cousin in Post Falls then rent a place site unseen(or roommates unseen). This offer has always been on the table, but he didn't want to commute that far. So, now this is a compromise of starting off there to be able to look first hand for something better (insert "loosing my mind" emoticon here). We also got an offer from my sister-in-law's parents, but they live in Newport. Now, that'd be a commute! :~) D

I commuted from Post Falls (exit 2) to Trent/Hamilton for about a month, and it drove me bonkers. Not because of the traffic or anything, but because it was really far. If it's not a long-term thing he could probably swing it, but I totally wouldn't do it for more than a few months.

The commute from Newport is pretty one, but is hell once you reach the Y. I wouldn't do it.

Yeah, one of my husband's main problems is that he's really spoiled commute-wise. I think it takes him all of 7 minutes to get to work and that's if he hits the 5 lights red!
This'll be good for him. Since we're looking for a house in the Valley, he's still going to be looking at at least a 20 minutes drive once we're settled.
There was a really tempting little apartment on S Spotted Road that would be moments to work, but they wanted a 6 month lease and $400 a month. :~/ D
