New decade, new champs, new format.....

So with only a month left in Twenty-ten, let's take a look back at another chapter of sports history. Five Big Points:

- Southeastern teams took crowns as the Saints won their first ever Super Bowl and Bama came out on top for the 12th (right?) time in their storied history.
- Lakers repeat as champs with a win over their arch rival in Boston, while UConn women's team dominates.... again.
- Spain takes home the World Cup and gets braggin' rights for four years.
- Jimmie Johnson, Jimmie Johnson, Jimmie Johnson, Jimmie Johnson, Jimmie Johnson.
- And we said goodbye to legends John Wooden and "The Boss"...

Here's a list of the major National and World Champions of 2010, incase you've been living under a rock...

NFL (Super Bowl XLIV): New Orleans Saints [1st]
Arena Football (Arena Bowl XXIII): Spokane Shock [1st]

NBA (Finals): Los Angeles Lakers [16th]
WNBA (Finals): Seattle Storm [2nd]

MLB (World Series): San Francisco Giants [6th]

NHL (Stanley Cup): Chicago Blackhawks [4th]

MLS (Cup): Colorado Rapids [1st]
UEFA (Champions League): F.C. Internazionale Milano [3rd]
FIFA (World Cup): Spain [1st]

Other Major Pro Sports
Winter Olympics Canada [most GOLD medals]
NASCAR (Sprint Cup): Jimmie Johnson [5th... straight]
Formula One (Drivers' Champion): Sebastian Vettel [1st]
Lacrosse (NLL Champion's Cup): Washington Stealth [1st]

Football (FBS): Alabama [12th]
Hoops (Men's Final Four): Duke [4th] / (Women's Final Four): UConn [7th]
Baseball (CWS): South Carolina [1st] / Softball (CWS): UCLA [11th]
Hockey (Frozen Four): Boston College [4th]

You only have one month left this year to brag, so let it all out.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year, folks..... and there's ALOT more than usual up there, so I hope I didn't miss anybody.
