Not sure why you would have seattle on there at all while omitting places like atlanta, phoenix, LA, etc

Funny thing is the rangers had worse attendance that very same day

Something brilliant about scheduling a mid-week game with temps in the high-90s and school in session

Only one more season where they have to worry about at least one of those elements

You can probably rule out DC because of the Redskins (just try to get a ticket on gameday at face value). I think Miami supports the Dolphins regardless of record as well. I'd say Atlanta or Tampa (Bay) would be good candidates, esp. since the Bucs have had trouble drawing crowds lately. The Jacksonville Jaguars played in front of a lot of empty seats until this past season.

There are legitimate reasons for the Marlins' lack of fan support, like the summer weather, playing in a football stadium, etc.

Why were these cities chosen? Why Seattle? Why Oakland? The Raiders have a large, nutty fanbase.

^ that's what I'm trying to figure out.

The Oakland Raiders fanbase includes:

Oakland
Los Angeles
Las Vegas
Denver
Any many other cities

The Golden State Warriors virtually sells out every game.

The Oakland Athletics, well before alienation, was doing well also.
