Today in England Manchester United beat Manchester City 2-1.
The winning goal more likely than not is going to be voted the best goal of the year in the World.

I know it's an amazing goal.
But I'd like to know what do "non-soccer fans" think about it.

Yup non-soccer fan here and I thought it was absolutely amazing.

For me soccer is like golf and hockey...I enjoy watching the highlights but definitely couldn't stand watching the whole game. But to each his/her own...great goal

Well said, just because I don't consider myself a true soccer fan does not mean I cannot appreciate astounding athletic plays, and that is what that was. I do wonder if that goal was "lucky" to some extent, because I've seen plenty of bikes that don't end up in the back of the net.

Just the sheer timing of it though blows me away, to have the ball coming in the air like that, to leave your feet and have the ability to control where the ball goes with accuracy...wow.
