They fined Serena a whopping two thousand dollars.
A ban would have been outrageous, but so was that fine.

They should ban the steroid ghetto monster. She's just getting POd that she's not winning anymore and instead of losing with grace and dignity of the sport, she acts like a ghetto street B-baller. Perhaps tennis should start steroid testing and call it "The Williams" policy.

she's a disgrace to the sport of tennis, to all athletes and to women everywhere. Maybe she needs anger management classes. Threatening officials is not cool-ever. And she doesn't know when to just shut the heck up and let it go. She deserved a ban for this one. And that paultry 2000 buck fine is a laugh.

This is the second time she's made threatening words and gestures to an official on the court. Challenge the call or file a complaint with officials, but don't threaten officials.

Well, Rafa held up better today than I expected. Didn't see that last set. In spite of that tiebreak, I figured he'd go down in the fourth. Was watching the match w/a friend and felt after 4 hours, I had better leave. 3rd set and ceremony was over before I got home. Those rallies today were incredible. But Novak hit the lines over and over and over, again. Rafa missed his signature shots waay too often and had a terrible time hanging on to his serve. 1st serve percentage bad.

Novak is certainly a transformed player. Think all his competition had better get with The EGG - and that includes Rafa. Very interesting reading these articles on The EGG - borderline violations of WADA - but they are not declaring it so as of yet. Novak staying w/a tennis pro during USO who has The EGG on his premises. Swears by it. Says it is twice as effective as doping. Judging from Novak's transformation, it appears so.

exactly. Who does that??? Oh yea, Serena does. Shameful behavior.
Players get fined more for receiving hand coaching from the stands. But to threaten an official, berate and bash an official and not get thrown off the courts is inexcusable.

Serena Williams acts like a spoiled brat. She needs to show more class and self-control on the court. However, her behavior is no worse than any other spoiled tennis brat throughout the years (e.g. John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors).
