That may be true, but I don't see all the Canadian teams wearing red and white.
We have far fewer patriotically named teams than the US, and those that we do have existed prior to the 1921 adoption of red and white as our national colors. Even the Ottawa Senators fit this mold, as the current incarnation borrowed the colors from the original, early 20th century team.
^^^^ I know that's a little overboard, but BROWN? Eww.
The Rangers colors are fine. It works with the state flag and I'm sure a majority of Texans do NOT want to see the colors change into that.
It just wouldn't work. It sort of feeds into the state's stereotypes, and we don't want that.
Then how about having the Texas Rangers wear maroon/silver? I mean the Toronto Blue Jays wear black and blue, but they still have that red maple leaf on their sleeves to show their patriotism. Nobody said the Rangers couldn't have the Texas state flag on their sleeves to show their pride. The Yankees have that Union tophat worn by Abe Lincoln with the red-and-white stripes, but they don't don that on their uniforms.

Well not even the Toronto Blue Jays wear red and white. Yes, it's true that would be patriotic, but that's why they have that red maple leaf on their sleeves. The Texas Rangers don't have to wear the red and blue to show their colors of the state flag. I never said they can't still have the Texas State flag on their sleeves. The Yankees don navy blue and white, but they still have that Union tophat for their logo which is red-and-white striped.
