New year, new champs.... and the world DIDN'T end, meaning that we'll have more.

Let's take a look back at another chapter of sports history. Five Big Points:

- 'Bama beats LSU in a National Championship game NO ONE outside those two states wanted to see.
- After getting upset by Dallas the year before, the Heat win their 2nd NBA Title, with Lebron and Bosh seeing their 1st.
- The 2012 Summer Games in London were spectacular as the U.S. took home 104 medals (46 Gold)
- The L.A. Kings bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time as an 8th seed.
- In the rematch from 2007, the Giants once again beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

... it's always been pretty much "American sports" with this.
