Personally I love it. Fox Sports Live was entertaining and informative and the show was looser and not so PC.
The programs and events were alright and they have a good variety of sports. It will take a couple of weeks to get it rolling but from what I saw it is promising and is better than ESPN. I give it a 8/10
to be honest FOX is horrible at broadcasting sporting events. The only thing they do a half-way decent job with is NFL football. With FOX its all about gimmicks.
What they've done with their baseball broadcast is downright criminal. Never mind that Joe Buck acts like he doesn't want to be there and Tim McCarver talks down to the audience as if they had never seen a baseball game before. The actual production and broadcast is a sham-mockery. They spend whole innings interviewing managers and players from the dugout. They have a frickin sideline reporter in the stands. They'll interview random people associated with the home ball club during the game. It''s a joke.
Or watch a soccer broadcast for the USNT. They have a sideline reporter that provides useless bio information. This last Gold Cup they had a referee in the studio that would chime in to the broadcast (when his mic was working). It's crap.
So the fact that FOX has no clue how to broadcast sports in the first place doesn't bode well for this 24hr sports channel.
I watched Randy Moss during the Patriot game to preview the network and he was horrible. I hope they can find the right formula to give an alternative to ESPN
So far I don't mind the programming mix ..... I really disliked their hosts so far though - their highlight show was trying way too hard to be like early sportscenter and failing pretty miserable including a couple different poop jokes
