I know of no sports broadcaster who comes across as a bigger pompous jerk than Gumbel. I would rather listen to any broadcaster for a football game than him. You would have a hard time helping Gumbel to improve his presentation since he all ready knows it all.

Yeah I've grown to appreciate Aikman. His critiques are fair & direct.. I also like the pregame commentary Vick does for FOX.
I like the demeanor of Aikman and Vick. They're usually calm & direct.. some of these other studio guys get really hyped up, or do a stupid schtick.. argue over meaningless opinions etc. FOX' NFL is pretty good, my opinion.
