Seriously?

The US likes to look down on soccer as it it has other sports to mind. But what are these sports? It doesn't dominate Basketball. It sure doesn't have the advantage in baseball because it has to go overseas for talent.

We do dominate in basketball.

Baseball would be a competition between us and some other countries.

I don't see the US looking down at soccer like its an "inferior" sport or anything. It's simply not as popular from a spectator standpoint as it is outside of the US (like Formula 1, Cricket etc.).

But what do you mean in terms of "dominate"? If its participation by US born athletes - I would say it does dominate baseball and basketball as it has the world's premier league in both basketball (NBA) and Baseball (MLB) as well as more participants from the US than any other country, combined. Albeit the international players in the NBA seems to be going up every year.

If you're referring to who will dominate if terms of world competition - I think the US domination in Olympic basketball is pretty evident. Especially when all the best players participate.

Think about the US Olympic Basketball team that won the Gold Medal and now add Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin and Tim Duncan, Stephen Curry . . .

Baseball is a global sport right now but if the US fielded an All-American team where unlike the World Baseball Classic - all of the US stars participated there would be no contest because no other country can match BOTH the hitting and pitching of the US. Think of a lineup with Trout, McCutchen, Stanton, Jones, Goldschmidt, Pedroia, Tulowitzki and a pitching staff with Kershaw, Wainwiright, Beckett.

Besides, the BEST players from other countries try to make it in the American pro leaugues. How many American basketball players are in Europe right now that couldn't make it in the NBA.

You can never dominate the world of a sport if only a small percentage of the world plays it!

I thought of Lacrosse too but I didn't think a soccer fan would appreciate it unless they passed the ball back and forth for 90 minutes before one of the teams scored a goal. And I couldn't imagine a lacrosse player flopping or faking taking a hit. If he did, he'd only do it once.

Your venom for football (soccer) is weird, don't watch and comment if it is not for you. The 95% of the world who do love it don't give a crap about you failed attempts of trying to undermine it!
