Fenway is just old. There's no history of winning there. Same goes for Wrigley. Its not anything like the Montreal Forum or Old Yankee Stadium. Those places had history and tradition of winning.

Gillette Stadium is your typical cookie cutter football stadium and the atmosphere at TD Garden is pedestrian at best. Celtics and Bruins didn't even sell out their games until both teams won championships in 2008 and 2011.

The only leg Boston has to stand on is Fenway because its old and it has the tradition and history thing going for it, but it quickly ends there.

Fenway is the only stadium in Boston that has anything special about it. No different than Wrigley.

Everyone knows if the Old Yankee Stadium were still in use Fenway would be an afterthought. Its just old.. there's a tradition of LOSING there, just like Wrigley.
