Brilliant work by Novak, 5th Miami title (one shy of Andre Agassi) and an unprecedented 3rd IW-Miami double. Savour the moment Djoker!!!
Now for the most deadly serious task in the history of tennis - the clay court season, and an attempt to bring down a guy who has delivered the most extreme level of dominance ever seen at one Major event., 66-1 and 9 titles on the clay of Paris.
Everything now must be precision geared for this showdown.

I would lump them like this:

Tier 1: Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/(No Opening)

Tier 2: Murray(One or Two more Openings)

Tier 3: Wawrinka/Del Potro/Tsonga/Berdych/Nishikori/Roanic/Ferrer(Several Openings)

You are a peculiar guy why do you never have a go at Wawrinka, Del Potro, Tsonga, Berdych, Nishikori, Roanic or Ferrer then if you say Murray is better?

Murray has potential, just like Tsonga, but Murray choked too much. If he didn't fall short at finals, he would have very close to Djokovic in the number of Grand Slams.

I think Murray's Grand Slam final opponents (Djokovic five times, Federer three times) had something to do with that.

As for Jo-Willie, I think he probably could have accomplished a bit more in terms of winning more 500 and 250 events (actually, the same is true for Berdych), but I think most people would say Federer/Nadal/Djokovic would beat Tsonga most of the time even when Tsonga was playing his "A" game (which has occurred a few times).

One thing that is a little worrisome for those of us who want to see Djokovic and Nadal in opposite halves of the draw at Roland Garros so they have the opportunity to play in the final is that Nadal has now dropped to #5 in the world, meaning he could play Djokovic (or any of the other top four players) as early as the quarterfinals. (Kei Nishikori has moved up to #4.) Nadal can gain points at both Monte Carlo Masters 1000 and Barcelona 500 (lost in the quarterfinals in both in 2014) but he has a lot of points to defend at the Madrid Masters 1000 (won in 2014) and Rome Masters 1000 (finalist in 2014).

That is a good point that I was aware of, and could be dangerous.
Whether Djoker has to go through Nadal, and at whatever stage of the tournament, it does not matter as long as he gets the title.

When is the next clay event where Nadal will appear, in addition to either Djokovic or Federer or both?

Monte Carlo Masters:

Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters - Monte Carlo, Monaco - Tennis Tournament - Tennis - ATP World Tour

Andy Murray is marrying his fiancé Kim Sears and won't be attending.
