Just for fun -- .Who is the most hated team in American pro sports? That one team that you enjoy rooting against almost as much as you enjoy rooting for your home team? The one team whose name only has to be mentioned for you to curl your lips in disgust?

I would say the Yankees are probably the most hated team in sports. They are a team that you either you love or hate. I would say the Patriots and the Cowboys would be pretty high on that list as well. Really any team that has been consistently successful over the last 10+ years and have an obnoxious fanbase.

Patriots. Ever since their cheap win over Miami in the Snow Plow game, I have no respect for that organization. Not only are they proud of that awful win, they actually mounted that snow plow on display at Gillette Stadium. Cap that off with their cheating, generous calls by refs, and obnoxious fans, well, they are easily my most hated team right behind Dallas Cowboys and any team from Philadelphia and Baltimore.

I voted Yankees. As a Bosox fan it was a no-brainer.

But I noticed all of the teams on the list were also among the most successful ones. So I guess this is just another example of how if you are at the top of your profession that you will incur many enemies.

After all, why hate, say, the Chicago Cubs? Or the Cleveland Browns? LOL.

One of the choices on the list seemed odd to me, and that was the St. Louis Cardinals. True, they have been very successful so in that way I can see the reason for their inclusion. But, man, they are such a fine organization. They win the old-fashioned way, they bring players up through the farm system. They have a proud history. They are not a "showy" or "arrogant" type of a team, I don't think, like the Yankees or the Cowboys. So why?

Or did the OP writer just list any successful team he could think of? Just curious.

Mod comment--This type of stuff has been posted before with the end result? A pissing contest in no time. This time? No comments in the last ten days except theone I just deleted a few minutes ago. Which meant nobody bit at this thing.I'm going to keep it this way.
