Nadal is seeded 10th, so seed-wise he's not projected to make the quarterfinals.
It's Nadal!!!! Unless he is not playing at all, he has a good chance of getting into the Quarters at any tennis event whether it's on concrete or on ice.
Why is it worth mentioning of someone who's ranked in the 70s losing at a Grand Slam?
Because Hyeon Chung is one of four teenage males, along with Borna Coric, Thanasi Kokkinakis, and Alexander Zverev, who is ranked in the top 100. In recent years, with the horrible 1989/1990 to 1994 generation, there were very, very few players who did pretty much anything or were ranked reasonably high during their teenage years. Now there are some young guys out there who are actually accomplishing something as young players, something we really haven't seen since Juan Martin del Potro and before him Djokovic and Murray were teenagers. Not all these guys will pan out, but the odds are fairly good at least one of the teenage players listed above will become a great player. (IMO Chung probably has the lowest chance of the four guys listed, but I wouldn't rule him out yet.)

Nadal has not been in the Wimbledon quarterfinals in any of the last three years.
I agree that people shouldn't count out Rafael Nadal, but I don't think that's what Stewart G. Griffin was doing when he identified the players seeded to make the quarterfinals.

Exactly!
Projected means just that. It's who will play in the quarter finals based solely on seeding, taken directly from the Wimbledon website.
Anyone arguing will be forced to have to listen to Cliff Richard singing!
