The masters consist of three rounds in three days.
That being the case, what good are the other rounds if the winner is chosen by whoever wins the final round?
Seems to me the other two rounds are not necessary.

The Masters consists of 4 rounds played over four days - 72 holes total, Thursday thru Sunday. Almost all professional golf tournaments follow this format.
The winner is not determined by whoever has the best final-day round but by which player has the best total score - ie, takes the fewest strokes in the 72 holes.
In the event that one or more players are tied, a sudden death playoff immediate follows, with players dropping out if they trail after any hole until only one player remains. This is the playoff format for most golf tournaments, though the other three majors - the U.S. Open, the (British) Open, and the PGA Championship - use 18-hole, 4-hole, and 3-hole playoffs, respectively (with sudden death following those, if a tie remains).
