Yeah. Do they not keep score to see which fisherman or skateboarder wins? If so, then it is a competition which makes it competitive. Why are those not sports in your mind?

Stuff like parkour, skydiving, gliding and BASE jumping? Yeah I would probably reclassify those as recreational activities. On the other hand, stuff like snowboarding, skateboarding and cycling already has its own competitions like the X Games, Tour Da France and snowboarding is in the Winter Olympics.

Sure if your just at a skate park hanging out. But there are events where scores are handed out based on a routine, wouldn't this be a competition in your eyes?

Your argument can be extended to all sports. Is throwing a football and catching it just for fun of a sport. Is throwing baseball and hitting it just for fun of a sport.
