Totally agree, but it's life that some will always see race in things.

Asuka is not even the fastest guy on Japan's team time wise in both the 100 and 200 meters.

How many steps are handballers allowed to take without bouncing the ball? Same like Basketball?

It is the end of an era, so sad

It's over - Bolt makes dreaded Olympic farewell

The previous athlete who captured my imagination was Michael Johnson, the 200/400 specialist.

Now Bolt is done, and I don't see anyone else with his charisma and presence taking his spot. Sure, Degrasse was awesome and a promising young sprinter, but he's no Bolt. Nowhere close.

Maybe it's because i'm an athlete who played six sports growing up (or maybe not), but I just don't get the fascination with this Bolt fella.

I really don't. He got 9 for 9 Gold Medals in some sprinting, great. I still don't get the collective circle---- around this fella.

Castor Semenya, an 800 meter athlete from South Africa, will compete tonight. One of the more controversial and polarizing figures/subjects in track and field.

Rio Olympics 2016: Caster Semenya is set to break records in the 800 meters, but all anyone wants to talk about is her gender

YES!

An American, Centrowitz, won the 1500 meters, what an incredible victory

That was a ridiculously slow time though.
