Phelps would then just compete in rowing or gymnastics or weight lifting to obtain how many total medals he felt comfortable in obtaining.
Maybe pingpong and synchronized swimming as well?
At 193cm, he has zero chance in men's gymnastics. No coach would want him in the first place. Such height would give him a huge disadvantage in weight lifting too, considering the distance he needs to lift is far more than someone who is 165cm.

MP is a incredible swimmer. However, he is only good in swimming and the number of medals he won can only be compared with other swimmers, not athletes in other areas, for the sheer fact that others simply don't have so many events available to win 7 or 8 medals in one Olympics.
