Which sports do you think are boring to watch on television?

I'm going for soccer. It's so boring because it's very low scoring. Ice Hockey is the same reason though I might watch the NHL playoffs if they air it. I'd much rather watch rugby than soccer for sure. I'm also going for tennis outside Wimbledon, Australian Open, French Open, and U.S. Open along with gymnastics, cycling, swimming, and cricket.

In my world, lack of scoring has nothing to do with whether I find a sport boring or not. Auto racing, golf, softball, lacrosse, and bowling are easy choices to me for other reasons. I'm going with lacrosse and softball as the worst of them all to break my personal tie, best I can. At least the other three aren't so boring to me if I was a participant.

I used to golf for 30+ yrs, have probably gone to 100 PGA, LPGA, Champion, Euro Tour events over the years....including several Masters and several Players Championships, Tour Championship and although I voted for soccer, I can't imagine golf not being one of the most boring sports to watch especially if you don't play or understand the complexities of the game.

Yeah, I love playing golf but watching - oy, boring. Majors, on weekends, are fun as the courses are harder and the choke factor goes up but normal events, no thanks. Soccer for me is the worst but I don't enjoy the game on any level.

There are sports that just don't make for good television. Cycling is one of those, and I'm someone who cycled a lot in his prime. Mind you, I'm talking about the Tour de France vs. Velodrome events, which are more of a chess game.

Cricket is a game I just don't understand the appeal on TV. I was in New Zealand once and stopped in a pub for a bite. New Zealand was playing West Australia. "Oh, this is interesting," I thought. So I watched for about thirty minutes, got up and left to drive to my destination. The next day, different town, I stop in for a bite to eat, and the same two teams were playing. "Oh, is this a replay?" I asked. The barkeep looked at me as if I were daft. "No. It's the same game." Then he took pity on me as an American and explained how there were breaks for lunch and the whatnot. All that being said, my BIL is a Brit and loves cricket.

I don't understand people harshing on soccer. Hey, it's not my sport, but I've seen interesting games.

Cricket seems really boring and yes, while I enjoy cycling, hard to watch. And I'm not a soccer fan either, though I like watching the World Cup. But I don't understand the hatred either by some for soccer. To say a sport is boring to watch because of no/little scoring always seemed a very narrow-minded and short-sighted reason to dislike a sport.

Worst is Golf by far. English soccer is also worthy of a snoozefest, Mexican soccer, though is exciting. All about the announcing.

Ice Skating sucks, because they chatter incessantly though it. Same with gymnastics. Would be ok if they played the music, let us watch, and kept the commentary to between events. I don;t need someone saying "Oh look a flying leap at the moon ! Well Executed ! "

Pro Wrestling is the most entertaining thing because it was evolved and fitted to television back in the day. It is centered around TV, though many hate it because it is staged.

And I will get arguments for this, but Baseball is enjoyed by this cat in person at the stadium, getting the whole summer experience. I don;t even watch it on TV. too slow and too boring. The stadium expereince is far more fun with the day out at the game than staying home and watching TV.

I once wasted 30 minutes watching two fat guys in a jon boat fishing in a stream and talking about bait. The only exciting part was when they opened their lunch boxes to eat lunch.
