I don't usually watch much of the Olympics, but the excellence of 15 yo figure skater Kamila Valieva, is captivating.

Opening Ceremonies should be on all local NBC affiliates tomorrow night.

At least it is here.

Expect a LOT of China medals (Via Covid positives for competitors, or whatever it takes to win 'the tally')

They will not lose face 'again'.

Tokyo 2021...
  1. United States: 113 medals (39 gold, 41 silver, 33 bronze)
  2. China: 88 medals (38 gold, 32 silver, 18 bronze) ROC: 71 medals (20 gold, 28 silver, 23 bronze)
  3. Great Britain: 65 medals (22 gold, 21 silver, 22 bronze)

Predict China by a long shot, and a lot of their close friends (Russia).

Living and working in China was an 'experience'

I will not be watching. China and Qatar in one year…what’s next, Kabul 2024? There’s a difference between countries putting aside general disagreements for the international goodwill of sport and outright ignoring genocide and slavery for $€£¥. International sport has become despicable.

I wish it weren't happening in China this year, but am excited to watch. My friend's grandson is competing.

I have to subscribe to premium, which is not free. That sucks!

I think I may have to look into going back to YouTube TV. I cancelled after one month because I felt $65/month was way too expensive. Yes, I CAN afford it, but not paying $65 per month can save me a lot of money in the long run...

I just watched the start of the figure skating team competition. The Chinese couple is highly favored to win the pairs competition, but face tough competition from a Russian pair. I thought the Russian pair was better in the short program.

Yes!! $4.99 for a month of Peacock channel to watch every Olympic event is really expensive. Those people are really greedy.
