Imagine how much more the Cowboys would be worth if they hadn't been irrelevant for 25 years. Too soon?

I feel sorry for the Oakland A's fan still left, they are only valued at 1,125 billion, less than half of #50 on the list, which helps explain their record of 41-71 and last place in the division. They have fallen a long way since we used to go see them in the 1970s when my wife and I were dating, $3 for the bleachers at the Coliseum.

^ Imagine how much more the Knicks would be worth if they weren't a dumpster fire for the better part of the last 22 years since Ewing left town?

The Jets are the 6th most valuable NFL franchise. Oy vey.

The ownership has done everything they can to kill the local fan base for over 20 years now. Like the Raiders, the A's are deliberately proposing a massive project they know is far fetched so they can claim to have done everything they can and now must leave. I yawn at any story where the team presents itself in a light that portrays themselves as eager to stay. I understand your nostalgia as I have lots of great memories as a kid watching their games, but they are a business and don't really care about us fans.

New York teams are going to be valuable by default by nature of the massive population of their home market, and the unparalleled corporate sponsorship again, in their home market.

Don't think it would make much a difference.

As someone living in the NYC area (not from here and without rooting interest), I'm fascinated that the Knicks are more valuable than the Giants. I get that football allegiances get divided with the two teams, but still.... can't recall the last time I ever had a conversation with anyone about the Knicks. The Giants have been nearly as bad, but I see Giants gear all over the place and bars have lines out the door on football Sundays (75% Giants, at least here in Hoboken).

Also fascinating that the Warriors are worth more than the Lakers? That doesn't seem plausible to me.

The least valuable team is the Arizona Coyotes, at $410 million. Patrick Mahomes contract is worth more than the Coyotes.

Their new arena is the smallest in the NHL - and quite possibly all 4 major pro sports. It seats a whopping 5,000 people.
