The winner gets roughly $2.5 million dollars. Djokovic not allowed to play but the Russians are. Can’t even play with Russia next to their names. Makes zero sense.

Because an individual tennis player has nothing to do with the Russian Government. If they are on a list of people that the US or any person/entity you cannot do business with, fine. But why would anyone blame someone for actions they have nothing to do with merely because they were born in the same place? That makes ZERO sense to me.
Djokovic made a choice not to comply with a rule regarding Covid vaccination. Its his call. The people you are complaining about made no choice to punish.

Djokovic IS allowed to play. He was just not allowed to enter into the United States unless he got vaccinated.

Isn't that what happened with the various Olympic boycotts? Athletes lost out because of their governments actions/views.

Recently, when a government made a decision not to send a team, yes. When a government was being punished, athletes that had nothing to do with the basis for punishment have always been allowed to compete without a national flag.
