Exactly, and if you asked certain other countries, the good old USA has committed atrocities for hundreds of years. It sounds a bit glass house-ish to be complaining about SA.

Yes, this is gonna get messy. There are more questions than answers. More explaining to do. I’m all ears.

For sure.

Rory McIlroy says LIV offered him $500 million .....so he now feels like a bit of sucker.....
and he thinks there should be consequences for the pros that signed up for LIV big bucks....
I am a big Rory fan ....a real solid guy.....and not to worry ....his net worth is over $600 million anyway...
but could have been over $1 billion, like Tiger.....
and speaking of Tiger ....he also refused to take LIV dirty money.

The commissioner said he will reward the ones that stayed in the PGA. I can't see any serious penalty he can come up with for the LIV golfers. It will likely be nothing but a slap on the wrist and just to satisfy the PGA pros and make them feel the LIV got penalized.

LIV has ruined golf. Now the merger, I just stopped watching. Just wait until they go after the NFL, or NASCAR.

Saudi dollars would be used to create the for profit business they have planned and inject dollars when the PGA Tour needed funds for misc reasons such as guaranteed prize money, increased purses, special events, etc.

It now sounds like Yasir Al-Rumayyan will be the top dog and LIV may have 12 events a year and try to preserve the team format and who knows PGA pros may be able to play in those. In any event it has disrupted the sport with many unknown questions and nothing changes until next year.

It's gotten to where I only recognize 8-10 names on the PGA Tour. I have basically stopped watching except late Sunday in the final round.

The most interesting rumors I heard was that LIV was about to lock up John Rahm and that the PGA had been dipping into their pension plan to pay the elevated purses this year (something that wasn't sustainable). Plus the thread that the PGA didnt want their books opened up in court (which would have happened in discovery) so they settled and brought the PIF in to get extra revenue.

NASCAR could happen if they want to buy individual teams. In the NFL/NBA, the easiest pickings would be the Raiders and the Lakers because neither one of their owners has independent money outside of the sports franchise. For all the other teams, the owners have other business interests which would shield them from "needing" to sell because the team is losing money/not as profitable.
