Even though wrestling today is garbage, there should be a section for people to discuss it on a whole. The discussions could be on the old school like Brisco, Sammartino, Race, Valentine and others. Other posters who watch todays garbage can also be free to participate. I'll talk about the old school and they can discuss the sports entertainment nonsense of today. My hope is they can learn something from old schoolers like myself.

That can be discussed in the entertainment section. It's a choreographed, male soap opera. That's not a sport.

I'm a Haystacks Calhoun feller, myself.

And this thread probably should be in "Politics and Other Controversies."

Haystacks Calhoun was not well liked by many in the business. He reportedly complained too much and really did not do anything special.

My major beef with wrestling today is that it is way too overexposed on television. Did you know that you can catch wrestling 4 nights a week. It goes up to 5 nights a week then there is a ppv that week.

And also the WWE has way too many ppvs, 14 to be exact. Too much overexposure is not a good thing because you end up getting a watered down product.

No wonder many wrestlers are getting injured and end up addicted to pain pills. Because Vince McMahon is overworking his wrestlers to death.

My other major beef with wrestling today is the lack of managers. I miss the good o'days of entertaining managers like Bobby The Brain Heenan, The Mouth Of The South Jimmy Hart, Classy Freddie Blassie, Father James Mitchell, Paul Bearer, Paul Heyman, Sensational Sherri Martel, etc.

Managers were a great mouth piece for heel wrestlers who can not cut a great promo if their lives depended on it.

Another major beef I have is that the Survivor Series is no longer a ppv where all or even most of the matches is made up of tag team elimination matches.

I am also mad that when the WWE bought out WCW, they never adopted the gimmick match of War Games from Fall Brawl. I always thought War Games is one of the greatest gimmick matches of all time.
