Whoops...

Well, Scotland and Ireland aren't "in my area" so I guess take those out.

St. Louis:

(1) St. Louis Blues. The classiest organization in town. Decent ticket prices, excellent management that cares about the fans, and an exciting young team that is quickly becoming competitive. Most of the fans are quite knowledgeable as well. Highly recommended if you visit during hockey season.

(2) St. Louis Cardinals. Yes it may be baseball heaven, and the new Busch Stadium is beautiful, unlike that old POS, but there is a price to pay for heaven, and that is in (1) overpriced tickets and (2) lousy ballpark food/beer selections. $9.75 for a (chokes) Bud Light? No thanks. Go Cards, but if you go to a game, eat and drink beforehand and one the great restaurants/bars in South City or the Hill.

(3) St. Louis Rams. My how the mighty have fallen. Nine years removed from a Super Bowl, and they are now a joke. Most college teams could clobber this squad. Going to a Rams game now has the excitement of going to the library. More than 50 percent of NFL fans in STL are Bears, Chiefs or Steelers fans.
