Dick Stockton has had a nice career-----he has done some great work, but listening to him lately, I think it is time to retire to the golf course.

I think Joe Buck/Troy Aikman and Al Michaels/Chris Collinsworth are the best announcer pairs in football. Don't care for many other ones. But just get Gruden off the air and things will be a lot better.

I have to commend Troy Aikman, I think he's turned into a fine analyst. You know it's a big game when Joe and Troy are calling it. Moose Johnston and Kenny Albert is another pair I think do a pretty good job calling games as well. The ones I absolutely loathed calling games were Brian Baldinger, and especially Bill Maas. Maas was the absolute worst!

I used to like him but he's gotten more annoying. I have found him annoying since last year.

as far as announcers that would be terrible...although pretty funny and a recognized comedic genius, I would hate to have to listen Donald Duck doing a game. Andy Devine would be pretty bad as well.

Yeah, I have to agree. I used to like Phil Simms, but his announcing has gotten worse over the years. Of course, he also became annoying to me when he decided that he was no longer going to use the team name, Redskins, when he had to call a Washington Redskins game. I remember this being big news before one of those games last year, and I remember as I sat and watched the game, he used the name at least four times that I remembered. LOL!!!

^^ I disagree with Ron Darling. Darling is actually pretty good, even as a Mets broadcaster.
